About

Welcome to ‘The Willows’.

Here is a collection of my poems. Poems … which are a snapshot of my thoughts, my life, times, my emotions and people I met. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the people and the circumstances – both good and bad -  which moved me so much as to put my thoughts in rhymes.

I feel compelled to mentions two excerpts poems I read back in school which cross my mind every now and then.

To force the pace and never to be still
Is not the way of those who study birds
Or women. The best poets wait for words.
The hunt is not an exercise of will
But patient love relaxing on a hill
To note the movement of a timid wing;
Until the one who knows that she is loved
No longer waits but risks surrendering -
In this the poet finds his moral proved
Who never spoke before his spirit moved.

- Nissim Ezekiel -

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
two roads diverged in a wood, and I –
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

- Robert Frost -
